[01.5] NODE:1

{SENIOR THESIS}

NODE:1 is a double-sided poster mapping the creative process: its concepts, recurring moments, and the connections between them. The whole thing can be folded, so that nodes separated on the flat surface connect across horizontal and vertical axes. The map is equal parts diagram and three-dimensional artifact.

A flat diagram can show nodes and draw lines between them. What it can't easily show is that a thought from early in a project connects to something (or everything) that surfaces much later — therefore the distance between them on a page would be misleading. Folding closes that distance. The relationship becomes physical rather than diagrammatic. Central to the reverse side is the Ouroboros, the snake consuming itself, because the process doesn't resolve. It continues, even after you put a project down.
